Rapid Transit Video #12: Slalom Pan-American Championships

What up all!

Just wanted to share a video of the Pan-American Championships that I produced recently. This competition was held this April at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC. It served as one of the US Olympic Qualifiers, as well as the Canadian Team Trials, and the trials for Latin American countries. It was a very cool event to watch, and I’m excited to incorporate slalom into my own training as a paddler.

Hope you enjoy, and congrats to all the qualifiers!

  1. Loved the video, I did one and put it on Youtube, but I like yours better. I would love to get some of the footage and join it to mine. Pablo’s father.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LVcp_FTZBU Here’s the link to mine, it was my first attempt, maybe putting all the footage together with your production values we could come up with a great Pablo tribute. We are sending it the media in Chile.

Along the way viewers will plunge into North Carolina’s deepest and most remote gorge, the Linville. Onlookers will meet the kayakers who first attempted the Linville Gorge descent in the 1970s, and see the reality of paddling this river over 30 years later.
