@badfishsup #badfishersup review from our good friend Tom in #newsmyrnabeach #florida 🏝 🌊 🏄🏾‍♀️ 🎣 I love fishing Florida’s Mosquito Lagoon estuary! For years, I have used sit-on-top kayaks. The inflatable Badfisher SUP has been an eye opener by allowing me to locate fish before spooking them. My goal this year is to become very proficient at sight casting for redfish, speckled trout, and snook. The Badfisher’s 36″ width and 11.5 ft length makes the SUP really stable for fly casting. I’m short, so the 6″ thickness improves water visibility angle. Badfisher’s design team developed some excellent fishing improvements. I appreciate the smaller 4″ fins (specifically the trailer) thus effortlessly floating over flats or oyster bars worry free of a face plant. The nose is pulled in enough for quiet paddling into wind or current. Designed with a large rubberized deck for a working platform permits me take two or three rods when fishing while still keeping my casting/fishing area clutter free. There are an excellent number of tie-down rings (18ea) both bow and stern. I’ve fitted the SUP out with Scotty’s rod holders, anchor set up, added a dry box/cooler, lifejacket, and if needed, still have room for additional fishing gear. We travel during summer months going north. I still plan to use my sit-in touring kayak, but the Badfisher will absolutely give me more fishing options.
