Chris Gallaway

Since I was a kid exploring my neighborhood creeks, I've always been fascinated by horizonlines and the mystery that lies beyond the last visible bend or ledge in a river. I'm still drawn to those places in nature and life where mystery and fascination meet, and one of my favorite feelings is the exhilarating mixture of fear and aticipation that comes to you in an eddy as you look at the lip of a rapid and the unknown beyond.

Those are the feelings and experiences that I want to crystallize and turn into visual stories through my work in video production. I rely heavily on the creativity and talent of my friends on and off the river to find adventures and narratives that are worth sharing with an audience, and I've been very fortunate thus far to encounter a few stories that have struck me with the same excitement and fascination as a tall, clean horizonline on the river. Here's to many more beautiful horizons and good adventures in the years to come.
